We make RNA-sequencing workflows more accessible, affordable, collaborative, and sustainable.

Introducing next-generation RNase inhibitors - ideal for single-cell and in situ RNA-sequencing

Unlike standard recombinant RNase inhibitors, the SEQURNA™ inhibitor is fully thermostable and can be shipped and stored at room temperature without affecting performance. These features do not only simplify shipping and storage logistics, eliminate batch effects, and reduce costs for the user – but also enable new and simplified workflows as well as novel laboratory protocols including heat cycles.

SEQURNA™ Thermostable RNase inhibitor

High performance

Our synthetic thermostable RNase inhibitor is compatible with contemporary scRNA-seq applications, offering improved library yields and qualities. It can be shipped and stored at room temperature, making it more environmentally friendly and minimising batch effects and activity loss from freeze-thaw cycles. This makes it ideal for scRNA-seq and in situ RNA-seq, and enables new workflows including heat pulses.

Sensitive detection

Effective for cells with low mRNA (e.g. lymphocytes, small cells) and works well in tissues with high RNase levels.

Resilience

Unlike protein-based products, our RNase inhibitor withstands prolonged heating and other harsh treatments. This enhances robustness in PCR-based applications and opens up entirely new workflows. Additionally, there is no risk of biological carryover from synthesis.

No dry ice

Our RNase inhibitor eliminates the need for dry ice shipping, reducing handling hazards, styrofoam waste and CO2 emissions. This also allows for efficient packaging and flat rate for deliveries. We estimate that using the SEQURNA Thermostable RNase inhibitor could reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 95% compared to the product life cycle of recombinant RNase inhibitors.

  • We find that the strong protection of RNA gives increased peace of mind when shipping plates with single-cell RNA content from customers to our service lab. Most importantly, we have found that this RNase inhibitor increases the sensitivity of mRNA detection in cellular RNA-sequencing libraries in our protocols.

  • The synthetic thermostable RNase inhibitor is a fantastic compound and after stringent QC we moved all our scRNAseq/multiome pipeline to use this component.
